DIY Finance aims to explain material aspects of how the service works, including significant assumptions, limitations, financial calculations, automated systems, compensation arrangements, data sources, and third-party relationships where relevant to Member decisions.

Where estimates, scenarios, possible actions, or other outputs depend on incomplete information or assumptions, the service should avoid presenting uncertain outcomes as guaranteed facts or false precision.

Member-facing explanations should be simpler than the underlying financial and data model. Complexity may exist underneath the service without requiring Members to master technical terminology to use it.

DIY Finance may receive compensation from partners as described in applicable disclosures. Compensation arrangements should not be presented in a way that obscures material conflicts of interest.

Research-informed methods should identify sources accurately and distinguish external research from DIY Finance’s own models, assumptions, and conclusions.
